The Canary Islands have received 45 blue flags.
“Danes do not lie” is well known. The Foundation for Environmental Education in Denmark (called “Foundation for Environmental Education”, short FEE) has awarded the 2012 Canary eleven blue flags over the past year. A clear sign of particularly clean beaches and high quality marinas in Europe and that “blue on the beach” in the Canary Islands is in the full trend now.
